Joe Heath is a big fan of comic books and watching things in order. So they made this spreadsheet containing every serial, short, film, television episode, commercial, motion comic, and web series based on a comic book. Now they're watching them all. Previously, Joe watched the seventh chapter of Captain America. This time, they continue with the eighth.
Captain America: “Chapter Eight: Cremation in the Clouds” - 15:35 (Available on Archive)

Cap manages to get out of the building before it explodes. He also managed to contain the explosion to the one building, when it apparently could have caused way more damage. So it’s kind of a win for both parties, really.
But The Scarab wants Henley dead, so he sends a blow dart sniper to the roof of Grant’s apartment.

But Grant spots the sniper and shoves Henley out of the way before the dart can hit him. Then Grant shoots the sniper.

I bet Grant’s landlord hates cleaning up all these dead criminals scattered about.
Anyway, Grant goes to Maldor’s museum to ask him about the blow dart gun. But Maldor says the only expert on blow dart guns is one of the expedition guys whom the Scarab has already murdered. Oh, well. So sorry. Whatcha gonna do? (Maybe find another expert? Surely there’s more than one in the world…)
Grant goes outside of the museum and gets a shoe shine. Gail comes up and tells him the dead expedition guy’s son is now a blow dart gun expert. Gail is going to fly out that night to see him. The shoe shine boy’s shoe shine box is secretly a radio and he reports all that he overheard to the Scarab.
Some henchmen rush to the plane hangar before Gail arrives. They knock out the mechanic and sabotage the plane. Grant drops Gail off and she gets in the plane and flies out.
The now tied-up mechanic manages to throw a can through the window, alerting Grant. He changes into Captain America and goes in to fight the henchmen.
While Grant is fighting them, Gail’s plane explodes.
Maybe he shouldn’t have wasted all that time changing clothes?
Should you watch it, though? I love the blow dart assassination, but the plane sabotage feels like a repeat of similar scenes from The Adventures of Captain Marvel and Batman as well as being similar to the car sabotage in the third chapter.
Tune in next time for Captain America: "Chapter Nine: Triple Tragedy" (Available on Archive.)
