Consume All Media! Batman and Robin: "Chapter Twelve: Robin Rides the Wind"

Joe Heath is a big fan of comic books and watching things in order. So they made this spreadsheet containing every serial, short, film, television episode, commercial, motion comic, and web series based on a comic book. Now they're watching them all. Previously, Joe watched the eleventh chapter of Batman and Robin. This time, they continue with the twelfth chapter.

Not to be confused with Robin's Wild Ride. This is totally different.

So they did crash, but very lightly. They get back on the road when the smoke clears.

The Wizard goes to his submarine. Batman and Robin lose the trail but realize Hammil's house is near here. They go to investigate. Hammil's assistant Carter shoots at them. But he explains he was after a prowler that broke into the house. Batman and Robin find said prowler and it's the private investigator Dunne.

They search Dunne and find a cigar with microfilm inside of it. They are blueprints for a neutralizer that Hammil was working on to stop the remote control machine.

Later in the Commissioner's office, Gordon asks Barry Brown about the sources for his news stories. Brown won't say. Gordon excuses himself for a minute and Brown immediately starts snooping. He finds a memo on Gordon's desk stating when and where the neutralizer is being transported.

I don't know why, but I really like close-up inserts like this. Just thought you should know.

Anyway, Brown leaves to go broadcast the information he just learned. Batman and Robin pop out from behind curtains and tell Gordon their plan worked.

The henchmen stop the armored car delivering the neutralizer and throw some gas bombs inside. Robin is hiding in the back, but has one of those breathing pipes they used in Chapter 7.

The Wizard sends out a remote-controlled decoy car in the armored car's place. Robin informs Batman of this, then knocks out the driver of the actual armored car and drives off with it. WHY DIDN'T ROBIN JUST LET THEM TAKE THE ARMORED CAR TO THEIR HIDEOUT? He could have found the Wizard! I don't understand this plan at all.

Anyway, the henchmen's plane starts dropping bombs at the car.

The armored car swerves off the road.

I guess Robin's dead again.

Should you watch it, though? I was enjoying this until the plan stopped making any sense.

Tune in next time for Batman and Robin: "Chapter Thirteen: The Wizard's Challenge" (Available on Amazon.)
