Joe Heath is a big fan of comic books and watching things in order. So they made this spreadsheet containing every serial, short, film, television episode, commercial, motion comic, and web series based on a comic book. Now they're watching them all. Previously, Joe watched the twelfth chapter of Batman and Robin. This time, they continue with the thirteenth chapter.

Obviously, Robin jumped out of the car before it went over the edge.
The henchmen go through the wreckage to try and find the neutralizer, but come up empty handed. One of them posits that maybe it neutralized itself.
The actual neutralizer is still in Hammil's possession. He puts it in a box and gives it to Carter, so he can deliver it to a research lab. But on his way out, Carter is jumped by some henchmen. Batman and Robin rush in to save the day. The henchmen get away but they leave behind the box. But they open the box and it's empty. Carter says it was actually empty when he took it. He didn't know what was supposed to be in it, but the box was very light. Hammil is confused because the box was sealed, but then sees that the seal on the box is a forgery.
That's an awful lot of confusing plot stuff, but basically the Wizard has the neutralizer and it's looking like Hammil isn't the Wizard after all.
The Wizard puts on a fancy necklace that focuses the remote control machine and the neutralizer's energy on himself. The combination of which renders him invisible.

Sure. That makes sense.
The power needed to make it work is quite a lot though, so the Wizard is going to need to update his equipment. He plans on stealing some top secret jet plane something or other that will more than adequately power up the machines.
Barry Brown broadcasts the Wizard's intent to steal this thing, which alerts Commissioner Gordon, who alerts Batman and Robin. They go to Mr. William's office (from Chapter 1) and Batman hides out in the vault where the jet plane thing is being held.
The Wizard is also there, but invisible. He sneaks around, punches out a guard, and takes his keys. For giggles, he also tugs on Gordon's coat. Gordon blames the guard.

Inside William's office, Robin is too busy playing with toys to notice the door open behind him.

The Wizard knocks him over the head, then places an explosive on the vault door. He leaves and the vault door explodes open.
Am I supposed to think Batman was hurt in this explosion? The explosion was on the outside of the door and the door swung outwards, not inwards. I'd be more worried about Robin who's actually inside of the room with the explosive. I mean, they're obviously both going to be fine, but still.
Should you watch it, though? Other than the confusing ending, this one is pretty good! The mystery around the identity of the Wizard is legitimately interesting in this chapter. And I absolutely love the invisible hi-jinx.
Tune in next time for Batman and Robin: "Chapter Fourteen: Batman vs. Wizard" (Available on Amazon.)
