Joe Heath is a big fan of comic books and watching things in order. So they made this spreadsheet containing every serial, short, film, television episode, commercial, motion comic, and web series based on a comic book. Now they're watching them all. Previously, Joe watched the tenth chapter of Captain America. This time, they continue with the eleventh.
Captain America: “Chapter Eleven: The Dead Man Returns” - 15:35 (Available on Archive)

Which of the 15 men that Captain America has killed do you think is returning?
Gail left the building before it exploded, so that’s the cliffhanger dealt with.
Cap climbs down from the wooden structure and checks on Matson, who is not dead, but badly injured. I guess that’s the returning dead man?

We also need to revise the Kill Count.

You’re no longer tied with Spy Smasher, Cap. Gonna have to work a little harder on your murders.
As Captain America checks on Matson’s health, worried that he will lose this informant on The Scarab, I can’t help but notice this is the only time Cap has seemed even remotely concerned with the health of a criminal.
Matson is dying, though, and is taken to the hospital. However, The Scarab isn’t too concerned about his right-hand henchman dying. He’ll just steal the body and force Lyman to bring it back to life.
Then Matson actually does die. So I guess he’s not the returning dead man after all.

Dammit. I updated the kill count for no reason! Now I have to un-update it...

There. You’re tied with Spy Smasher again, Cap. Like it always should have been.
A couple of henchmen shoot a pair of morgue drivers and steal Matson’s body. As one of the drivers dies, he writes their license plate number in the dirt.
Cap tracks it down to an electrical company where The Scarab is making Lyman bring Matson back to life. Cap breaks in and starts fighting while in the next room, the machine is cranked up to full power and resurrects Matson.
Now this truly is the return of a dead man!

This does not affect the kill count, because Matson definitely 100% died earlier. So your kill count record stands, Cap. Good job?
Matson exits down the fire escape. Cap tries to break into the room, but The Scarab starts shooting the door between them. Lyman throws the resurrection machine at The Scarab, but he ducks and shoots Lyman. Then he follows Matson out through the window and down the fire escape.
One of the henchmen in the other room regains consciousness and starts fighting Cap again. They wind up in an electrical room that was previously shown to fill with deathly electrical sparks if a switch is flipped. That has to be a safety violation of some kind.
Another henchman regains consciousness and throws the switch, filling the room with a million volts. A legitimately terrifying scream is heard as the chapter ends.
Should you watch it, though? Everything about this chapter is straight up bonkers. AND I LOVE IT. This is the kind of comic book nonsense I signed up for! Fun action, rooms full of unharnessed electricity, and dead men coming back to life due to sketchy science? Yes please!
Tune in next time for Captain America: "Chapter Twelve: Horror on the Highway" (Available on Archive.)
