Consume All Media! Batman and Robin: "Chapter Fourteen: Batman vs. Wizard"

Joe Heath is a big fan of comic books and watching things in order. So they made this spreadsheet containing every serial, short, film, television episode, commercial, motion comic, and web series based on a comic book. Now they're watching them all. Previously, Joe watched the thirteenth chapter of Batman and Robin. This time, they continue with the fourteenth chapter.

Batman stepped back into the inner chamber of the vault to suck on some oxygen he just happened to have, so he's fine. I mean, I think he would have been fine anyway, but whatever.
The Wizard's machines get too hot, so a henchman turns them off and the Wizard becomes visible. He runs away from the guards, but in the process gets a wound on his hand and leaves behind a glove.
Batman and Robin find Dunne snooping around. Dunne has a hand wound, but he said he got it climbing the fence.
Batman somehow deduces that the Wizard's machines made him invisible. He will continue his detective work by checking the Wizard's left-behind glove for fingerprints. Gordon says he will check Barry Brown and Professor Hammil for hand scars.
Barry Brown comes to Gordon's office. He has a wound on his hand from moving glass in his garage. Gordon again leaves Brown alone in his office for a moment and Brown hides a listening device in Gordon's office.
The fingerprints in the glove belong to Carter, so Batman, Robin, and Gordon all go to Hammil's mansion to confront him. On their way there, they listen to Brown's broadcast. He announces that the fingerprints are Carter's. They are mildly annoyed about this.
Meanwhile at the mansion, Carter is going through Hammil's stuff when a gloved hand pokes a gun into the room and shoots him.
So... Carter isn't the Wizard?
Batman, Robin, and Gordon find Carter's dead body. Hammil walks in and they're all concerned about the wound on his hand. Hammil explains that he burnt his hand on some lab equipment. Plus, hand wounds are all the rage these days. Everyone's got one.
While they are super concerned about the wound on his hand, not a single one of them seems to notice that Hammil is walking. He's just standing there next to them. None of them know he's been juicing himself up. None of them question how this man is suddenly walking. NOT A SINGLE COMMENT IS MADE ABOUT THIS MAN SUDDENLY BEING ABLE TO WALK. How did this cross no one's mind while filming this scene? It's absolutely mind-boggling.
Later, Brown broadcasts that the Wizard is still alive and plans to kill Gordon in his office. He is about to reveal the Wizard's identity on-air when he is invisibly strangled. Brown is hospitalized and his throat is damaged, so he won't be able to talk for a while. Okay, but he can still write down the Wizard's identity, can't he? Of course, I wouldn't expect any of these people to think of that when they don't even notice that the paralyzed guy is suddenly walking.
Instead of getting Gordon to safety, they all just decide to hang out in Gordon's office awaiting his murder from an invisible assassin. Batman gives Vicki a special infrared bulb for her camera that should be able to take a photo of the invisible Wizard. Vicki asks how she's supposed to focus the camera on an invisible subject and that's honestly a really good question. Why isn't Vicki Batman? She could have wrapped this up chapters ago.
While they are all hanging out, completely ignoring any of the potential entrances to Gordon's office, a rope and a gun float down behind them outside of the window.
Vicki is the only person who sees it, because she is smarter than everyone else in the room. She shouts as the gun fires.
Should you watch it, though? The gun slowly floating down behind them is the funniest visual in this entire serial. I couldn't stop laughing when I saw it. Everything about this chapter is ridiculous. The plethora of hand wounds, Hammil walking around, reason and logic being completely tossed aside. But that honestly makes this chapter more memorable than any of the others. It's stupid as hell, but it's also a lot of fun to watch.
