Consume All Media! The Vigilante: "Chapter Ten: Danger Ahead"

Joe Heath is a big fan of comic books and watching things in order. So they made this spreadsheet containing every serial, short, film, television episode, commercial, motion comic, and web series based on a comic book. Now they're watching them all. Previously, Joe watched the ninth chapter of The Vigilante. This time, they vigilantly continue with the tenth.

The Vigilante: “Chapter Ten: Danger Ahead” - 18:48

Greg and Stuff just... get out of the river. It’s not that hard. But as soon as they do, henchmen start shooting at them. The Prince hears the gunshots and comes to Greg and Stuff’s rescue. The henchmen get away though.

Since things didn’t go so well, Silver advises the henchmen to lie to X1 about shooting the henchman who had gone undercover as the Prince. Sounds like a good idea to me.

X1 now wants the henchmen to swap their two stolen horses for Greg and Betty’s horses.

Stuff and Greg stakeout the Hidden Valley ranch and see the henchmen loading horses onto a trailer. Greg and Stuff follow them to the Café, which is where Greg was going anyway because he has a date with Betty. But the henchmen leave to do the swap, now that they know Greg and Betty are preoccupied.

Stuff waves down Greg and says the henchmen are leaving and he overheard they were going to the carnival. Greg says Stuff should take his place at the dinner while he goes to investigate.

Stuff joins Betty who jokingly says that she thinks Greg’s sneaking off with a girl. After Betty and Stuff have some delightful banter, they settle in for a nice meal. This is definitely a polyamorous situation, right?

I have to be the only person in the world invested in this ship.

Pierce is suspicious that Greg left his dinner, so he asks Silver to go keep an eye on the horse switch.

The henchmen throw a smoke bomb in the stable. The stable guards get the horses out of what they think is a burning stable. The henchmen fight the guards, but The Vigilante shows up and tells the henchmen to put the horses back.

Silver and another henchman show up and try to run over The Vigilante. In the middle of another fight scene, Silver gets the horses and leaves.

A henchman climbs onto a roof with the Vigilante following. When he gets to the roof, he pushes the ladder off with The Vigilante still on it.

Should you watch it, though? It’s starting to get a little repetitive and the ending is very similar to the ending of Chapter Four, but the Greg/Betty/Stuff dinner scene is absolutely adorable.

Tune in next time for The Vigilante: "Chapter Eleven: X-1 Closes In"
