Consume All Media! The Vigilante: "Chapter Eleven: X-1 Closes In"

Joe Heath is a big fan of comic books and watching things in order. So they made this spreadsheet containing every serial, short, film, television episode, commercial, motion comic, and web series based on a comic book. Now they're watching them all. Previously, Joe watched the tenth chapter of The Vigilante. This time, they vigilantly continue with the eleventh.

The Vigilante: “Chapter Eleven: X-1 Closes In” - 18:48

The Vigilante somehow has the time to make a lasso and throw it around a pole to swing off the falling ladder. Impressive. Meanwhile, the security guards have taken care of the henchmen.

Silver gets pearls out of Greg’s horse, but Betty’s horse doesn’t have the special horseshoes. X1 orders Silver to find out where Betty’s horse got reshod.

Greg examines Riley’s horse and finds the secret horseshoe compartment. He then remembers that Betty’s horse was reshod. He fills in Pierce about this which makes Greg suspicious of Pierce, because Pierce mentions both horses being stolen when Greg only mentioned Betty’s.

X1 secretly listens in to a dinner conversation where Silver tries to make a deal with the Prince about the pearls. Afterwards, X1 locks Silver in a room and tells him to think about what he’s done.

Meanwhile, Betty tells everyone who the blacksmith was that reshod her horse’s shoes.

Stuff and Pop (bringing his carnival guns) hide outside of the blacksmith’s shop to see if anyone shows up while the shop is closed. Some henchmen do indeed show up and start going through the horseshoes. Stuff and Pop pull guns on them and start asking questions, but they won’t talk. Pop is about to resort to more torturous methods, when more henchmen show up and hold them at gunpoint. But then The Vigilante pokes his head out from an alcove and holds them at gunpoint.

Then a henchman knocks a support beam out from under him.

Should you watch it, though? A lot of twists and turns in this one! I enjoy the fracturing of X1’s team. It adds more depth to what could otherwise be generic henchmen. I also absolutely love the ending of this chapter with its constant reveals of characters with guns.

Tune in next time for The Vigilante: "Chapter Twelve: Death Rides the Rails"
