Joe Heath is a big fan of comic books and watching things in order. So they made this spreadsheet containing every serial, short, film, television episode, commercial, motion comic, and web series based on a comic book. Now they're watching them all. Previously, Joe watched the sixth chapter of The Vigilante. This time, they vigilantly continue with the seventh.
The Vigilante: “Chapter Seven: Midnight Rendezvous” - 19:12

Greg flies off the mountain, gets up, and dusts himself off. On the one hand, the serial isn’t cheating the cliffhangers, but it is making Greg look incredibly invulnerable. Or ludicrousy lucky.
The henchmen remove the horse’s shoes because there is a secret compartment in them containing pearls.

They then reshoe and return the horse.
X1 says the pearls are the Tears of Blood and there are only 100 of them. And he wants them all. Once he has them, he thinks he can break the curse.
Greg goes to Pierce’s Cafe to investigate, but the henchmen notice him. They decide to leave to see if he follows them. Greg does follow them, so the henchmen knock him out and take him to their hideout.
Betty gets a ransom note saying she can exchange her horse for Greg at midnight. She takes the note to Riley.
Greg manages to free himself and escape. He takes the time and effort to sneak into the trunk of his car and change into The Vigilante before confronting a couple of henchmen. They tell him about Betty and the ransom note. He tells the henchmen to run and he steals their car.
Why doesn’t Greg tie them up or incapacitate them in some way or call the police or anything sensible?
Some henchmen confront Betty, but she doesn’t see Greg, so she rides away on her horse. They follow in a car. The Vigilante sees this and jumps into the henchmen’s car and fights them. He jumps out just as the car goes off the road in a truly terrifying stunt.

He tumbles down the hill a lot. And not gracefully.
Should you watch it, though? We finally learn the truth of the horses and the Tears of Blood. Plus the cliffhanger is a truly amazing stunt. Good times!
Tune in next time for The Vigilante: "Chapter Eight: Blasted to Eternity"
