Consume All Media! Batman and Robin: "Chapter Two: Tunnel of Terror"

Joe Heath is a big fan of comic books and watching things in order. So they made this spreadsheet containing every serial, short, film, television episode, commercial, motion comic, and web series based on a comic book. Now they're watching them all. Previously, Joe watched the first chapter of Batman and Robin. This time, they continue with the second chapter.

Batman and Robin: “Chapter Two: Tunnel of Terror” - 17:18 (Available on Amazon)

Batman and Robin escape by just... opening the door and leaving before the plane explodes.

They proceed to sneak onto the henchmen's plane and hide in the back. During the flight, Batman swaps the diamonds for fake diamonds while the henchman holding them sleeps. I'm not sure why Batman had a fake bag of diamonds on him, but at least he was prepared.

The plane lands and Batman and Robin try to follow them to their lair, but they lose them right around the secret entrance to the submarine cave.

After the already repetitive submarine trip and hologram scan, the henchmen give the Wizard the diamond pouch. Inside are pebbles and this adorable Batman calling card.

I love the tiny eyes. Nice touch.

Batman and Robin drive by Professor Hammil's mansion to see if maybe he's up to no good and they hear a woman scream which seems to confirm their suspicions. But it turns out Vicki Vale was snooping around and got her leg stuck in a trap.

Hammil kind of apologizes, but says he has to protect his super secretive work which isn't at all evil probably.

Later, Bruce and Dick see a private investigator, Dunne (Michael Whalen), leave the radio station where Brown works. Suspecting foul play, they follow Dunne. While tailing him, they tune into Brown's broadcast which reports that something's going to go down at the railroad. Which is exactly where Dunne winds up. Bruce loses Dunne, but questions a roughed-up railroad worker who says there's going to be an attempted robbery of an explosive called X90.

The Wizard's henchmen jump on top of a train and Batman soon follows.

There's a handful of shots where Batman actually fights some henchmen on top of a real moving train. It's impressive and frightening! It eventually changes to a rear projection shot, but the fight still remains impressive and the tension amps up as the train gets closer and closer to a tunnel.

Should you watch it, though? Bruce and Dick continue to have no charisma whatsoever, but the train-top fight is legitimately exciting.

Tune in next time for Batman and Robin: "Chapter Three: Robin's Wild Ride" (Available on Amazon.)
