Joe Heath is a big fan of comic books and watching things in order. So they made this spreadsheet containing every serial, short, film, television episode, commercial, motion comic, and web series based on a comic book. Now they're watching them all. Previously, Joe watched the twelfth chapter of The Vigilante. This time, they vigilantly continue with the thirteenth.
The Vigilante: “Chapter Thirteen: The Trap That Failed” - 17:45

Greg and Stuff are no mere mortals. They literally walk out of the wreckage of the car like it was nothing. They're mostly just bummed that they don’t have a ride now.
Silver and Betty are taken to a barn. Silver fights his way out and is shot and killed. Betty manages to break free and ride off on a horse.
Riley picks up Greg and Stuff and they head to the Hidden Valley Ranch, but it’s deserted. However, they do find Silver’s body and Stuff finds Betty’s handkerchief.
They all head back to the police station and are surprised to find Betty there.
Meanwhile at the carnival, the henchmen interrogate Pop and some guy named Joe. Joe tells them where they can find Betty’s horseshoes and is shot for his trouble.

Goodbye, Joe. I barely knew you. At all. Who are you?
Greg, Stuff, and Betty rush over and Pop tells them what happened. Also, turns out Joe isn’t dead, just wounded. Oh, good. I was very worried about poor old unforgettable Joe. Remember when he did all those things? Ah, Joe.
The henchmen go to the blacksmith Joe told them about and start looking through a pile of horseshoes. The Vigilante arrives and fights them. The blacksmith joins in too because why not.
The Prince’s servants come in and start looking through the horseshoes while the fight continues behind them.

The servants get out with two horseshoes. The henchmen leave with zero horseshoes and lock The Vigilante and the blacksmith inside. The Vigilante finds the other two horseshoes and goes out through the window. He did not unlock the door for the blacksmith and this annoyed me.
He chases down the servants, who have a secret car gadget that emits smoke. The Vigilante is blinded and crashes his motorcycle.
Should you watch it, though? A little sloppy in places, but things are heating up now that X1 nearly has all of the pearls. And he killed Silver! Plus the Prince’s servants casually looking through horseshoes while a fight happens in the background is one of the funniest visuals in the whole serial.
Tune in next time for The Vigilante: "Chapter Fourteen: Closing In!"
