Consume All Media! The Vigilante: "Chapter Fourteen: Closing In!"

Joe Heath is a big fan of comic books and watching things in order. So they made this spreadsheet containing every serial, short, film, television episode, commercial, motion comic, and web series based on a comic book. Now they're watching them all. Previously, Joe watched the thirteenth chapter of The Vigilante. This time, they vigilantly continue with the fourteenth.

Greg once again shrugs in the face of death and walks it off.

Greg brings Betty the horseshoes, but doesn’t take credit for it. They find the pearls inside.

Everyone goes to talk to the Prince, who denies that he has anything to do with anything. Greg makes up some story about having rare stamps he wants the Prince to verify are real. This somehow gets him alone with the Prince.

The Prince tells the whole story. He was going to give all of his horses to Pierce, but Hamid was being really sketchy about it, so the Prince split up the horses. It was only later that he realized the pearls were somehow involved.

Greg trusts all this and gives the Prince all the pearls he has.

Riley gets a tip that there’s going to be a raid on the jail to free however many henchmen have been arrested throughout this serial. Greg suggests that Riley should let the raid happen and Greg will follow the henchmen to their hideout.

The raid begins and Riley puts up a bit of a fight so as not to seem suspicious.

Greg can’t help but take a look and is spotted sneaking around. While Greg is preoccupied with watching the fight, a henchman rigs his car to explode.

Greg returns to his car and it explodes.

Should you watch it, though? The pieces are all in place for the finale, but honestly this chapter is kind of boring. A lot of rehashing of plot we already knew. But I suppose that was necessary in the days when people were watching these chapters a week apart.
