Consume All Media! The Vigilante: "Chapter Four: Desperate Flight"

Joe Heath is a big fan of comic books and watching things in order. So they made this spreadsheet containing every serial, short, film, television episode, commercial, motion comic, and web series based on a comic book. Now they're watching them all. Previously, Joe watched the third chapter of The Vigilante. This time, they vigilantly continue with the fourth.

The Vigilante: “Chapter Four: Desperate Flight” - 17:42

Greg and Betty manage to turn the stagecoach and bring it safely to a stop.

Stuff catches up and says that he overheard the henchmen say they were going to the Hidden Valley Ranch. (Not to be confused with the salad dressing.) Greg and Stuff jump on his motorcycle and catch up with the henchmen.

One of the henchmen sees them coming and gets out of the truck to try and shoot them as they pass. But his gun doesn’t work for reasons that are never explained. After his failed murder attempt, he finds a pay phone and calls X1, who says he will send out more men.

Meanwhile, Greg jumps from the motorcycle to the truck and fights the henchmen. The truck gets a flat tire and Greg makes the henchmen change the tire.

The new batch of henchmen arrive to rescue the first batch of henchmen and fight Greg and Stuff. A gas station owner shoots at the henchmen and they all leave.

Later, all of the horse owners have a meeting to try and figure out what’s going on. Greg mentions the curse again to the Prince and again the Prince doesn’t offer anything up. So… that was a scene, I guess.

Greg drives Betty home and she grills him about what he’s up to. Greg doesn’t reveal anything, but their banter is absolutely delightful.

A couple of henchmen try to steal one of the horses from a stable, but they get into a fight with a surprisingly competent security guard. The Vigilante joins in the fight and winds up fighting a henchman on the roof of the stable. The other henchman on the ground shoots up at them.

Not sure who gets shot, but they both fall off of the roof.

Should you watch it, though? Not as much going on in this one, but the action is good and Betty and Greg are cute.

Tune in next time for The Vigilante: "Chapter Five: In the Gorilla's Cage"
