Consume All Media! Superman: "Chapter Eight: Superman to the Rescue"

Joe Heath is a big fan of comic books and watching things in order. So they made this spreadsheet containing every serial, short, film, television episode, commercial, motion comic, and web series based on a comic book. Now they're watching them all. Previously, Joe watched the seventh chapter of Superman. This time, they continue with the eighth.

For the fifth time, Clark thinks this looks like a job for Superman. He changes clothes, takes out the henchmen, and stops the belt. But one of the henchmen throws the kryptonite into the fire and the gas negatively affects Superman. Before the henchmen can do anything about it though, they hear the cops arriving, so they all run off.

Superman stumbles his way out of the fire and changes back into his Clark clothes.

Turns out the “cops” were actually Lois blowing a whistle. She asks Clark where he was and he says Superman showed up and told him to lay low. Lois is annoyed at how cowardly he seems to be.

Later, the government tells Superman they want the reducer ray moved quickly and secretly. But Superman says let’s do it publicly to lure out the Spider Lady.

The Spider Lady falls for it and has her men set up to intercept the truck. The henchmen spot Superman on a cliff and aim a big gun with a kryptonite bullet at him.

Superman manages to catch the (animated) bullet and throws it back at them. He ties all the henchmen up.

Then he hears the Spider Lady calling over the radio telling her henchmen that she learned that this was a trap and that the reducer ray is really being moved by train. Superman flies out to the train where some henchmen have just buried explosives.

The explosives explode!

Should you watch it, though? Not as much going on in this one, but it moves along decently.
