Joe Heath is a big fan of comic books and watching things in order. So they made this spreadsheet containing every serial, short, film, television episode, commercial, motion comic, and web series based on a comic book. Now they're watching them all. Previously, Joe watched the fifth chapter of smashing spies. This time, they continue with the sixth chapter.
Spy Smasher "Chapter Six: The Invisible Witness" - 16:39 (Available on YouTube.)

Spy Smasher jams his gun in the elevator gears, stopping it just shy of crushing him. Corby returns with the police and Spy Smasher rides the cable back up to safety.
Later, The Mask is confused by a newspaper saying that Spy Smasher saved the day when he’s supposed to be dead at the bottom of an elevator shaft. The man who thought he’d killed him is doubly confused when he looks at the newspaper and sees a picture of the man he unmasked. So they now think Jack is Spy Smasher.
Jack goes to meet up with Eve at a camera shop. As she takes Jack’s picture, one of The Mask’s men knocks her camera out of her hands. While she is distracted, more of the Mask’s men kidnap Jack.
Confused at Jack’s sudden disappearance, Eve takes her camera back into the shop, in case it was damaged. Later, she calls Alan thinking that he’s Jack and is like “Hey, what’s up? Why’d you ghost me at the camera shop?” He apologizes and offers to pick up her camera.
After getting the camera, the camera shop owner talks about the great quality of the picture Eve took of Jack. “You can even read the numbers on the license plate!” Convenient.
Alan tracks the car down to a rental place. The car shows up and he gets into a fight with The Mask’s men, including a fun bit where he leaps onto a mechanic’s trolley and rolls under the car to tackle a guy on the other side.
But the man who owns the car rental place also fights Spy Smasher. I wasn’t sure if he was working with The Mask or not, which makes it a little awkward when Spy Smasher runs over him with a car.

He finally broke Captain Marvel’s record... but at what cost? That poor man was just trying to run a business...
Alan asks where they took Jack and heads to the Union Pipe Works.
The Mask and his men are already working over Jack, trying to make him sign a confession saying that he and Corby were in cahoots doing villainy. He refuses, so they put him on a conveyor belt that chops bricks.
Spy Smasher shows up and saves Jack, but after a fight, he winds up unconscious and on the conveyor belt himself.
Should you watch it, though? The action sequences continue to impress and it’s nice to see Eve finally get a little bit to do, but… I still feel really weird about the car rental guy dying. He probably had a family and everything.
Tune in next time for Spy Smasher "Chapter Seven: Secret Weapon" (Available on YouTube.)
