Joe Heath is a big fan of comic books and watching things in order. So they made this spreadsheet containing every serial, short, film, television episode, commercial, motion comic, and web series based on a comic book. Now they're watching them all. Previously, Joe watched the thirteenth chapter of Hop Harrigan. This time, they continue with the fourteenth.
Hop Harrigan: “Chapter Fourteen: The Chute That Failed” - 18:57 (Available on Dailymotion)

Hop’s fine and so is the video. Unfortunately.
The police arrive and start arresting people, including Hunter. Hop asks where Craven is, but Hunter says nothing.
They go to Arnold and tell him that Craven was bad all along. Arnold says that Craven was actually good all along. Craven called the police and has been helping this whole time. Is this a ploy? A twist? We’ve definitely seen Craven do nefarious deeds and sneak around listening in to people’s conversations, but I wouldn’t put it past this serial to just completely contradict itself.
You don’t have to guess for long, because Craven immediately kidnaps Jackie, since he’s the only one who might know the way to Tobor’s lab.
Gail immediately calls Hop, because Craven and his men did absolutely nothing to incapacitate her. They just took Jackie and left. Anyway, after filling Hop in, she chases after Craven.
Back at the lab, it turns out Ballard’s not actually dead, but Tobor thinks he is. When Tobor leaves the lab, Ballard gets up and smashes the hell out of everything and sneaks out. He sees Tobor’s new plane, does a bit of sabotage to it, and walks off into the desert.
Tobor returns to his destroyed lab and is absolutely fed up with the whole horrible world. So he decides he’s going to destroy it. WHY DIDN’T WE GET THIS SOONER? Tobor goes full-on mad scientist and we don’t get to see nearly enough of it.
After misleading Craven for a while, Jackie finally says the only way to get to Tobor’s lab is by plane. They turn around to go back to the hangar and see Gail coming. They duck off the road and she drives past them without seeing them.
They go to Hop’s plane and Jackie insists on wearing a parachute. They take off just as Hop and Tank get there. They follow the plane in their car. Eventually, Gail catches up to them and joins them, leaving her car on the side of the road. LITTERING.
Jackie refuses to help and jumps out of the plane. However, his chute gets caught on the plane.

Then he falls.
Should you watch it, though? Tobor’s decision to destroy the world and Jackie’s shenanigans are good. The rest is just a bunch of cars driving through the desert.
Tune in next time for the lackluster conclusion of Hop Harrigan: "Chapter Fifteen: The Fate of the World" (Available on Dailymotion.)
