Joe Heath is a big fan of comic books and watching things in order. So they made this spreadsheet containing every serial, short, film, television episode, commercial, motion comic, and web series based on a comic book. Now they're watching them all. Previously, Joe watched the first chapter of Congo Bill. This time, they continue with the second chapter.
Congo Bill: “Chapter Two: Jungle Gold” - 14:01 (Available on YouTube)

Bill shoots at the bad guys, then saves Tom from the gorilla.
Tom is taken to the doctor, who says he has received a potentially fatal blow. Tom talks to Bill and tells him about the potential heir. He gives Bill a letter, then dies.
Bernie blames Bill for the gorilla attacking Tom and uses this as an excuse to fire Bill.
In Africa, the witch doctor (Frank Lackteen) sneaks out of a ceremony to talk to Bocar.
Actor Highlights
Frank Lackteen (1897-1968)
Other comic book media credits: Hawkins in Superman (1948)
A trader, Cameron (Jack Ingram), follows Bocar to see what he’s up to.
Actor Highlights
Jack Ingram (1902-1969)
Other comic book media: Henchman Klein in Batman (1943), Lieutenant Riley in Hop Harrigan (1946), Silver AKA X2 in The Vigilante (1947), Anton in Superman (1948), & Foster in Atom Man vs. Superman (1950)
Bocar meets up with the witch doctor who again doesn’t have any gold for him. Bocar slaps him around a bit and the witch doctor says he will try to get him some gold.
Back in the US, Bernie regrets firing Bill because Bill may have dirt on them. So they’re gonna try and kill him again. This time with knives! While he sleeps!

(This is also a picture of me trying to watch this serial.)
Bill wakes up and chases his would-be murderer outside. A chase happens and at some point, Morelli throws a knife into Bill’s back.
Should you watch it, though? Other than introducing the letter (which will become annoyingly important) and Cameron, this serial brings almost nothing new to the table. It’s incredibly boring and repetitive.
Tune in next time for Congo Bill: "Chapter Three: A Hot Reception" (Available on YouTube.)
