Consume All Media! Congo Bill: "Chapter Five: White Shadows in the Jungle"

Joe Heath is a big fan of comic books and watching things in order. So they made this spreadsheet containing every serial, short, film, television episode, commercial, motion comic, and web series based on a comic book. Now they're watching them all. Previously, Joe watched the fourth chapter of Congo Bill. This time, they continue with the fifth chapter.

Bill gets out of the wreckage of the car and pulls Kahla out with him. Bocar’s men are impressed and one of them says “That guy must be Superman.” Good joke, but Congo Bill is no Superman.

Bill and Kahla return to the safari and start hiking. They come across a tribal drummer. The safari guide, Rogan (Anthony Warde), shoots the drummer which greatly upsets Bill.

Bill tries to help the drummer, but he’s too late. They continue on.

The death of the drummer is reported to the Queen. She wants them captured for questioning, but some of the tribe members secretly plan to just kill them.

The safari loses most of their men when Bocar’s men shoot at them and scare them off.

Later, Rogan considers ways to kill Bill while he’s sleeping, but Bill is expecting this, so they get into a fight and Rogan runs off.

Back at the inn, Kleeg contemplates who he can sell Tom’s letter to, but can’t remember where he hid it. He will spend the next nine chapters searching for it in his office. This is stupid.

The tribe starts attacking Bill and Kahla. Bocar’s men start shooting at Bill and Kahla. Kahla runs to go get help, but trips and falls on his face. This is stupid.

The tribe rolls an easily avoidable boulder at Bill. This is stupid.

Should you watch it, though? I like the Superman joke. But the rest of it? Stupid.
