Consume All Media! Congo Bill: "Chapter Six: The White Queen"

Joe Heath is a big fan of comic books and watching things in order. So they made this spreadsheet containing every serial, short, film, television episode, commercial, motion comic, and web series based on a comic book. Now they're watching them all. Previously, Joe watched the fifth chapter of Congo Bill. This time, they continue with the sixth chapter.

Congo Bill: “Chapter Six: The White Queen” - 16:24 (Available on YouTube)

Congo Bill easily avoids the boulder. It almost rolls over Bocar’s men, but even they manage to avoid it despite being the stupidest henchmen in all of Africa.

The shootout continues and Bill runs out of bullets. But Cameron arrives and helps out. I completely forgot that this guy even existed.

Later, a lion attacks Bill.

Again, this is a real lion jumping on a real person.

I’m kind of rooting for the lion.

Unfortunately, the Queen shows up and calls the lion off.

She takes Bill to her village and cleans his wounds. They have what I guess is supposed to be a flirty conversation where she says that her tribe has spoken English for many generations. Convenient. Also, Bill says he comes from “a land we like to call civilization” which is so condescending and gross.

Bill also finds a picture of her father, Lester Culver. He tells the Queen about the fortune and the circus and how she’s the rightful heir to all of it, but she doesn’t really care because she’s already a queen.

Still, Bill gives her the letter to prove everything, but it’s a blank piece of paper. Kleeg didn’t write anything on it? That’s truly bizarre because there is definitely a scene of him scribbling something on it before trading it out with the real letter. This is stupid.

Meanwhile, the tribe has captured Cameron and Kahla and plans to sacrifice them.

Later, while everyone is celebrating, Bill knocks out a guard and sets Cameron and Kahla free. Bill is seen doing this by someone who proceeds to tell the rest of the tribe that Bill is evil and also needs to be sacrificed.

The Queen helps Bill escape and a very slow chase ensues. They both wind up falling into quicksand.

I’m kind of rooting for the quicksand.

Should you watch it, though? I like the lion attack, but the rest is garbage.

Tune in next time for Congo Bill: "Chapter Seven: Black Panther" (Available on YouTube.)

God, I wish.
