Consume All Media! Captain America: "Chapter Six: Vault of Vengeance"

Joe Heath is a big fan of comic books and watching things in order. So they made this spreadsheet containing every serial, short, film, television episode, commercial, motion comic, and web series based on a comic book. Now they're watching them all. Previously, Joe watched the fifth chapter of Captain America. This time, they continue with the sixth.

Cap manages to stop the guillotine just in time. While Cap frees Gail, Matson gets away.

Because the villains in this seem to be a bit smarter than the ones in previous serials I’ve seen, Matson starts to put together that Grant Gardner just might be Captain America. The Scarab says that they are at least working with each other.

Dr. Maldor invites Grant over to read some biographies he wrote. This buys time for Matson to bug Grant’s apartment.

Later, Grant is told that another member of the expedition, Henley (Tom Chatterton), has received a ransom note from The Scarab. Grant comes up with a plan involving a briefcase with a tracker in it. Afterwards, Gail seems confused by this plan until Grant reveals that the plan is fake because he discovered the bug. The actual plan is to stake out the dropoff.

The money is dropped off and Cap fights a nearby lookout. In fact, he throws him off of a cliff.

Matson takes the money and Cap follows him into a cave. They fight and Matson punches him into a mine shaft. Or a very floppy Captain America dummy, anyway.

Not content with this being enough to kill Captain America, Matson also drops a big bucket of rocks on him.

Should you watch it, though? A big improvement over the last chapter. Better pace, better plot, and better action. We’re back on track!
