Captain America falls into… a pillow truck?

Yeah, I’m just as surprised as you are, buddy.
Yeah, I’m just as surprised as you are, buddy.

Matson escapes with the map half and also kidnaps Hillman to translate it.

Grant finds the discarded recorder outside of his office. A fingerprint on it belongs to an ex-convict turned repairman. Grant goes to question him. After Grant leaves, the repairman calls and tells The Scarab that Grant is snooping around.

The Scarab does a little bit of torturing Hillman with a whip to get him to translate the map, then leaves with Matson to go check in with the repairman.

Hillman breaks away from his restraints and tries to get to the phone. The Scarab’s men hit him over the head and he falls over, ripping the phone cord out of the wall in the process.

The repairman’s phone was tapped, so Grant tracks the number he calls to a barn. Grant goes to question the repairman some more and the repairman pulls a gun on him. Grant gets the gun away from him and handcuffs him to a pipe, then leaves to check out the barn. (Though I’m not sure why he didn’t skip this and head straight for the barn.)

The repairman does some fancy footwork to open a hidden compartment in his shop’s wall. He uses the secret phone inside to call The Scarab. The call doesn’t go through though because the phone is out. He then calls The Scarab on his car radio and gets through to him. The Scarab realizes it’s too late to get back to the barn before Grant does, so he instead decides to get on a plane and bomb the place.

Cap gets inside the barn and starts fighting. The Scarab flies by and is a terrible shot. He misses with two bombs before finally blowing up the barn on his third try.

Should you watch it, though? One thing I liked in this chapter is that it’s the first time someone called another character and they weren’t already sitting by the phone or radio like they have been in other chapters. But other than that, this chapter is kind of meh.

Tune in next time for the thrilling conclusion of Captain America: "Chapter Fifteen: The Toll of Doom" (Available on Archive.)
