Batman: “Chapter Four: Slaves of the Rising Sun” - 18:09 (Available on Archive)

Release date: August 6th, 1943
We last left Batman unconscious on some tracks as a train rushed towards him.
Robin pushes Batman off the track, saving his life.
One of the henchmen drowned, but I don’t know who knocked him in the water. Also, that seems pretty accidental, so no death count. (I’m just trying really hard to not have Batman kill someone. His parents would have wanted it that way.)
One of the remaining henchmen goes to Daka and says that Batman stopped the train explosion. He’s also fed up with Daka and wants out. So after heatedly saying some racist things, he shoots one of Daka’s zombies and heads for the door. Daka opens a trapdoor below the henchman and he falls into an alligator pit. Because Daka just has one of those.

Meanwhile, Linda gets another call saying to go into a trap to a fortune teller. She asks Bruce to come with her, but he says he’s too busy. But obviously, he goes there ahead of her.

Oh boy. Sure hope we’re not heading for some more racism.
Bruce quickly realizes the mystic is a fake and knocks him out. Then Bruce does some cultural appropriation.

Come on. You’re better than this, Bruce.
Linda arrives and Bruce turns the lights down low and warns her that she’s in danger and needs to leave. She tries to do so, but is knocked out by a henchman who was hiding behind some curtains. They leave in an armored car.
Batman jumps on the roof of the car and blasts his way in with the Radium Gun.

He struggles with the driver and they drive off a cliff.
Should you watch it, though? This chapter doubles down on the racism, but it does have an alligator pit. Plus, the car chase is pretty good.
Tune in next time for Batman: "Chapter Five: The Living Corpse" (Available on Archive.)
