Batman: “Chapter Eleven: A Nipponese Trap” - 15:44 (Available on Archive)

Release date: September 24th, 1943
Batman rolled out of the car before it exploded. Of course. You can’t kill The Batman (nor does he kill. I can’t stress this enough).

The henchmen retrieve the radium as Alfred retrieves Batman and Robin.
I would like to note here that Alfred drives Batman and Robin AND Bruce and Dick around in the same car. You think someone would notice.
Bruce can’t get enough of the Chuck White disguise (and neither can I), so he arranges for Chuck to get arrested and put in jail with Marshall, the previously kidnapped henchman. Chuck casually mentions that he was robbing a place but ran into a cave full of bats. Marshall tells him that if Chuck tells his boss where this cave is, it could be good for the both of them.
Chuck gets bailed out by Dick and Alfred. But then he also gets bailed out by Daka because he’s trying to get rid of Chuck White. Does he get double-bailed?? Is that a thing???
Anyway, Daka’s henchmen run him off of the road.

It is immediately revealed that Bruce went to the hospital and is fine. Though the henchmen think he’s 100% totally dead, despite not checking into this at all.
Batman and Robin go to the hideout Chuck was told about and start fighting. Unfortunately, Batman gets knocked out.
The henchmen remove his mask to reveal that Batman is…

...Chuck White!
The henchmen are confused because they thought they had killed Chuck White. These guys are stupid on so many levels. They also don’t notice Robin sneaking away to call the cops.
The henchmen catch Robin and knock him out, but they are worried about the police arriving, so they decide to blow up the building to get rid of any evidence, as well as get rid of Batman and Robin. Instead of just… you know… shooting them.
A henchman sets up the explosives and Batman jumps up and keeps him from leaving. The henchman protests saying the place is going to blow, but Batman knocks him out and grabs Robin.
The building explodes.

I’m pretty sure Batman and Robin made it out okay, but… Batman definitely let that guy die. There’s no way around it. So… it’s officially time.

Come on. You’re better than that, Batman.
Should you watch it, though? The car crash is a pretty good stunt and the reveal that Batman is Chuck White is both hilarious and clever. There’s not much else going on for this one, though.
Tune in next time for Batman: "Chapter Twelve: Embers of Evil" (Available on Archive.)
