Consume All Media! Batman and Robin: "Chapter Ten: Batman's Last Chance!"

Joe Heath is a big fan of comic books and watching things in order. So they made this spreadsheet containing every serial, short, film, television episode, commercial, motion comic, and web series based on a comic book. Now they're watching them all. Previously, Joe watched the ninth chapter of Batman and Robin. This time, they continue with the tenth chapter.

Batman and Robin: “Chapter Ten: Batman's Last Chance!” - 16:55 (Available on Amazon)

Considering we have five more chapters after this one, I really doubt it's Batman's last chance.

Batman and Robin jump out of the car before it goes over the cliff. What is this, the middle of chapter eight?

All of the bad guys think Batman and Robin are dead. Again. What a bunch of idiots.

Jimmy sneaks out of Vicki's office, but she spots him and follows him to another henchmen hideout.

Inside, the henchmen have an overly complicated device to see who's outside the door.

This one doesn't project a hologram like the Wizard's though. It just lets you see through walls.

They let Jimmy in and ask if he was followed. Jimmy is very certain that he wasn't followed.

Vicki has followed Jimmy into the building. This alerts the henchmen, but because she's not right outside of the door, they can't use the x-ray device to see her. So a couple of henchmen go out to see what's up. They find Vicki snooping around, grab her, and take her into their hideout which is now behind a different door than it was before because no one making this serial gave a shit about continuity. More of this later!

Jimmy tries to save his sister, but gets knocked out for his trouble.

Vicki is locked in a room with an unplugged phone. She wires it back up and calls Alfred. She is caught by a henchman before she can give Alfred an address. Alfred fills in Bruce who decides to go question the imprisoned henchman he hit with a barrel.

But someone breaks the henchmen free and tells him to drive a nearby van to the hideout. But hiding in the back of the van are Batman and Robin, as this was an elaborate ruse that relies on the immense stupidity of a henchman!

But the henchmen at the hideout are a little smarter and as they realize none of them broke this guy out of jail, so someone must have tailed him. They turn on a device that electrifies all the metal in the room and leave.

Jimmy wakes up from being unconscious and tells Vicki he'll get her out as soon as he can. Then he also leaves.

Then Batman grabs an electrified door knob.

For those of you keeping track at home, this is the third time Batman has been electrocuted.

Batman collapses and Jimmy finds him. He takes a peek under the mask and realizes he's Bruce Wayne.

A few moments later, we see Batman up and about again. He knocks out a henchman, gets a key, and unlocks Vicki. She runs away as Batman fights more henchmen. Eventually, Batman gets knocked out of a window and falls to the pavement in some reused footage from the first Batman serial.

We actually see him fall behind the van Robin is waiting in and hear him hit the ground, so there's no getting out of this one. This guy is actually dead. And the next chapter does not undo this death.

What does that mean? Stay tuned to find out!

Should you watch it, though? I really liked this one! I figured out the twist that's going to happen in the next chapter, but it's still an interesting choice to make. Everything this serial has decided to do with Jimmy so far has been a good choice.

Tune in next time for Batman and Robin: "Chapter Eleven: Robin's Ruse" (Available on Amazon.)
