Consume All Media! Congo Bill: "Chapter Thirteen: Menace of the Jungle"

Joe Heath is a big fan of comic books and watching things in order. So they made this spreadsheet containing every serial, short, film, television episode, commercial, motion comic, and web series based on a comic book. Now they’re watching them all. Previously, Joe watched the twelfth chapter of Congo Bill. This time, they continue with the thirteenth chapter.

Cameron pulls Congo Bill’s signature move and reveals that he was faking being hypnotized.

Meanwhile, Bernie finds a gorilla. Pretty sure this is the same gorilla that scared the Queen.

I’m not counting it for the gorilla count. If you think I should, just yell at me. I crave the interaction.

The serial then reuses the footage from the gorilla capture in episode one, but edits out the scenes with Bill. Bill’s too busy rescuing Kleeg and the Queen.

Elsewhere, the witch doctor tells Bocar he’ll tell him where the gold is, if he’ll kill the Queen. Bocar agrees.

Bill confronts the witch doctor after this, but Bocar shoots the witch doctor and leaves.

Then there’s more reused footage.

After a brief shootout with the tribe, Kleeg drives everyone back to the inn.

After Cameron gets a tip that Bocar has a bunch of gold, Bill, Cameron, Kahla, and Greenway leave to go find it.

While they are out, Bernie lets the gorilla loose in the Queen’s room.

Should you watch it, though? Not even a gorilla can save this episode full of reused footage.
