Consume All Media! Congo Bill: "Chapter Eight: Sinister Schemes"

Joe Heath is a big fan of comic books and watching things in order. So they made this spreadsheet containing every serial, short, film, television episode, commercial, motion comic, and web series based on a comic book. Now they're watching them all. Previously, Joe watched the seventh chapter of Congo Bill. This time, they continue with the eighth chapter.

Congo Bill: “Chapter Eight: Sinister Schemes” - 16:54 (Available on YouTube)

Bill and Kahla both break through their respective doors. Bill stops Kahla from falling in the pit.

They leave, there’s a brief shootout with Bocar’s men, then everyone goes to bed.

There’s another fight in the night, but everyone is fine, so they go back to sleep.

Cameron plays cards with Kleeg while Bill looks for the letter in his office. The inn’s bartender Zalea (Armida) catches Bill in the act. She offers to help him if he’ll pay her. However, Kleeg catches both of them and escorts them out at gunpoint.

Zalea is locked in a cell, while Bill is taken to a room where he is whipped and tortured. Finally, a spinning circle of knives lowers from the ceiling above a tied-up Bill.

Kahla sees this happening and makes some noise to lure the torturers out of the room. Then he shoves them in a cell and locks them in. He then frees Zalea who repays this kindness by knocking him unconscious.

Meanwhile, the knives get closer.

I’m kind of rooting for the knives.

Should you watch it, though? Spinning ceiling knives are fun, but the rest is boring and repetitive.

Tune in next time for Congo Bill: "Chapter Nine: The Witch Doctor Strikes" (Available on YouTube.)
