Consume All Media! Captain America: "Chapter Four: Preview of Murder"

Joe Heath is a big fan of comic books and watching things in order. So they made this spreadsheet containing every serial, short, film, television episode, commercial, motion comic, and web series based on a comic book. Now they're watching them all. Previously, Joe watched the third chapter of Captain America. This time, they continue with the fourth.

Captain America solves his problems the way that this specific Captain America solves most of his problems and he shoots his way out of the crate. Matson gets away, but Cap gets their sweet remote-controlled truck.

Grant invites Dr. Maldor to the reading of a will. Maldor gets the museum he already had control over and Professor Dodge gets everything else, including some jewels from Maldor’s museum. Maldor hopes to kill Dodge before he has to hand them over.

Later, Grant decides to hide in the remote-controlled truck to see where it goes, thinking he can catch The Scarab. What he doesn’t realize is that the truck has a camera and The Scarab knows he’s doing this. Then The Scarab remotely drives the truck to a garage.

I have no idea where the secret camera is supposed to be in any of these scenes. It seems to be hovering behind the truck like some kind of video game. It makes no logical sense, but I love it.

Once the truck makes it to the garage, Grant is immediately tied up. The truck is then filled with explosives and sent off to smash into Dodge’s house.

Grant manages to get free and shoot a henchman.

He changes into Cap and steals a motorcycle. He catches up to the truck, jumps in, and destroys the tech controlling the truck. Then he swerves the truck into a building next to Dodge’s house. The building and the truck explode.

Should you watch it, though? I love the remote-controlled truck and just how completely ludicrous it is. I also love that Grant takes the time to change into the Captain America costume, even though a speeding truck is on its way to commit a murder. Priorities.
