Consume All Media! Atom Man vs. Superman: "Chapter Seven: At the Mercy of Atom Man!"
Joe Heath is a big fan of comic books and watching things in order. So they made this spreadsheet containing every serial, short, film, television episode, commercial, motion comic, and web series based on a comic book. Now they're watching them all. Previously, Joe watched the sixth chapter of Atom Man vs. Superman. This time, they continue with the seventh chapter.

Superman gets Jimmy out of the car before the bomb hits and flies him to the Daily Planet.
The henchmen Superman trapped in the car have told the police that Atom Man is planning on using the radium to make synthetic kryptonite.
Then there's a very lengthy scene where Luthor makes said synthetic kryptonite. To pass the time, he tells his henchman Superman's entire origin story. This is just an excuse to reuse all of the Krypton footage from the first serial. If you're wondering how Luthor knows all of this info, he claims to have decoded Kryptonian signals sent out by Jor-El before the planet's destruction.
A janitor working at the Daily Planet is also working for Luthor, so he hides the synthetic kryptonite in the Planet's water cooler. Clark starts to get a little hot, goes to get some water, and passes out. The janitor sees this and goes to find one of Luthor's henchmen. Clark drags himself into a closet. When the janitor and the henchmen can't find Clark, they leave with the synthetic kryptonite.
Later, Superman is the guest of honor at the launching of a ship called the Man of Steel.
Lois asks him if he's worried about being out in public like this, when the Atom Man might be out there with kryptonite. Superman says he's not worried with all these people here to protect him.
That line made me aww out loud. Absolutely adorable.
Unfortunately, a henchman shows up with the kryptonite and Superman passes out. He is then loaded into an ambulance by undercover henchmen.
Should you watch it, though? The clip show origin is horrendously awful. But the final scene is cute and leads into a surprisingly subtle and chilling cliffhanger.
