Joe Heath is a big fan of comic books and watching things in order. So they made this spreadsheet containing every serial, short, film, television episode, commercial, motion comic, and web series based on a comic book. Now they're watching them all. Previously, Joe watched the eleventh chapter of Adventures of Captain Marvel. This time, they conclude with the twelfth and final chapter.
Adventures of Captain Marvel: “Chapter Twelve: Captain Marvel's Secret” - 16:46 (Available on Tubi.)

Billy turns into Captain Marvel and gets Betty and Whitey out of the tomb.
The other two members of the expedition, Bentley and John Malcolm (Robert Strange) find their own way out. But in a shadowy scene where neither face can be seen, The Scorpion reveals himself and shoots the other.
Actor Highlights
Robert Strange (1881-1952)
Other comic book media credits: Gang Lawyer in Captain America (1944)

He puts on his costume and heads out. From a distance, he sees Captain Marvel turn back into Billy (our only time seeing this effect from a distance!).
Meanwhile, Tal Chotali tries to explain things to the natives, but the Scorpion shows up and everyone believes him. The Scorpion orders Rahman Bar to capture Billy, so he can learn his secrets. Rahman’s men quickly do so. They also capture Betty and Whitey after a short car chase, in which Whitey jumps a small ravine in a very unconvincing model shot.
Using the now-complete golden scorpion, The Scorpion vaporizes a guy out of existence, then threatens to do the same to Betty unless Billy gives up his secrets. Billy says he’ll gladly show him how he becomes Captain Marvel. He turns into Captain Marvel and immediately pulls off the Scorpion’s mask. It was Bentley all along!

Not sure if this fully tracks, since he was attacked by a henchman and had his lens stolen. Unless that was to throw suspicion off of him?
Either way, Bentley grabs Betty as a hostage and Rahman Bar (now knowing he was fooled) vaporizes Bentley with the golden scorpion.
Captain Marvel gives an impassioned speech about how evil must be vanquished and throws the golden scorpion into the volcano. In a very non-flashy wipe cut, he turns back into Billy. Forever. Tal explains that the Curse of the Scorpion is over and there is no need for Captain Marvel anymore.
Everyone seems happy with all of this and they all return home. THE END!
Should you watch it, though?: While the conclusion seems to cut off any sequel potential, this is a fun and exciting resolution.
All in all, the whole serial is a solid outing for the first ever on-screen comic book adaptation! Watch it!
Tune in next time as we get animated with Superman!
